Last summer, Julia won entrance into the National Watermedia Exhibition with her watercolor painting accomplished in the out of doors, “Churning Tides at Glensheen.” She received an Honorable Mention for her painting, “Duluth Port Storage,” in the Plein Air Duluth, Paint du Nord festival. She traveled to South Dakota to create works of prairie vistas, but also painted locally at the Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts, capturing a haunted orb like image. She is happy to represent the Outdoor Painters of Minnesota, Minnesota Watercolor Society and the North Star Watermedia Society. “Getting out of town and connecting with nature is a healing event for everyone in the family.”
